Digital Zoom
How much do you really zoom in on images? If you zoom in a lot, you might want to consider a digital camera that has a 6X or a 10X zoom. If you aren’t much of a zoomer, you can forgo this feature. Many people like to have at least 3X zoom for getting a good shot from far away.
Light Sensor
The light sensor is the most important feature of your digital camera because it will give you higher resolution. Most shots will look great a 640×480, but if you’re going to print your pictures out or crop them, you might want a camera that can handle higher resolution. Make sure that you’re buying a camera that has at least 2 megapixels. For optimal shots, consider a camera with 5-6 megapixels.
LCD Display
The LCD display is great for seeing your shots before you take the picture. Check out the LCD display before you buy the digital camera. Make sure that it’s big enough for you to see the shots beforehand. If the LCD screen is not big enough for you, get a camera with a bigger LCD. The display will allow you to adjust the brightness of the shot on the fly. This is great for shots in low lighting. The LCD will also allow you to implement a flash if needed.
